The Africa Craft Trust conducted a program funded by Royal Bafokeng Enterprise Development intended to rejuvenate and then reintroduce Bafokeng craft products to the broader market and to ensure more diverse product offerings that are more marketable, affordable and sustainable. The Trust established a three part craft enterprise development strategy which included business skills capacity building, increased technical and production skills, product development and design, and increased market access within South Africa.

Key Activities included an assessment of the area, technical trainings in production, product development workshops, costing and pricing training, and marketing missions to Johannesburg.

Through the life of the program, the Trust worked with 35 crafters, representing approximately between 250 and 500 indirect beneficiaries.

"The process was educational. i gained exposure to a different market which was an eye opener."
